Bid Instructions
  1. Bidders may download some bid documents, in .pdf format, and submit before the closing time on their own paper, regular mail, to the appropriate address as shown on the bid document.
    1. All other bids are posted for viewing purposes only.
    2. Bidders wishing to respond to these bids are to contact the department specifically identified and request a bid document.
    • The City of Stratford is not responsible for any mail/postal delays.

  2. Some bids may require a deposit amount to be paid to the City of Stratford prior to the document being issued.
    • Deposit details will be included in the Bid Document.

  3. If you would like any of the bid documents sent via courier you must provide the defined contact;
    • Your completed return courier waybill,
    • Your account number and envelope, and
    • Have the courier pick up the bid package on your behalf.
    • The documents will be forwarded at your expense.
    • The City of Stratford is not responsible for any courier delays.

  4. Submit sealed bids, clearly marked as to contents before closing time and date to:
    • City of Stratford, City Hall
    • ATTN: Purchasing Department BID #: xx-xx
    • 1 Wellington Street
    • Stratford, ON, N5A 2L3
    • Unless otherwise instructed to submit to an alternate contact.
    • Be sure to identify the Bid # on the outside of the envelope.

  5. Bids submitted must clearly identify the Bidder's Name and Company identified in the return address detail.

    The detail must include:
             The Company Name
             The Submission Bidders Name
             The Company Mailing Address

    • City, Province Postal Code

  • It is the bidder's sole responsibility to check this web page often for any addendum(s).
  • No addendum(s) will be posted within 48 hours to bid closing.
  • Any bid received without the appropriate addendum(s) acknowledged on the bid form or signed by the bidder as required and submitted will be rejected.
Any electronic document received by the City of Stratford that has been altered will be rejected.
