Media organizations are not subject to parking
meter fees within the City of Stratford. Although you may park at a
parking meter free of fees, media organizations will be subject to
fines and towing if found parked within a fire route, no parking zone,
etc.
Please contact Parking Control with your media credentials in order to be issued with a media parking permit. A maximum of two (2) permits will be issued to each media organization per year.
Parking Lots
Residents and the public may purchase parking
permits for several Parking Lots on a monthly basis or for a maximum of six months.
Some restrictions apply.
Parking Lots and Fees are:
Erie Street Parking Lot
$352.00 plus $17.60 GST = $369.60 for 6 months
$58.67 plus $2.93 GST = $61.60 monthly
Rear of the Jail
$208.00 plus $10.40 GST = $218.40 for 6 months
$34.67 plus $1.73 GST = $36.40 monthly
St. Patrick Street Lot
$304.00 plus $15.20 GST = $319.20 for 6 months
$50.67 plus $2.53 GST = $53.20 monthly
York Street Lot (Downtown Residents Only)
$304.00 plus $15.20 GST = $319.20 for 6 months
$50.67 plus $2.53 GST = $53.20 monthly
Please note that you do not require a permit
to park at the St. Patrick Street (Cooper) Lot
and Downie Street Parking Lots as they are free, and motorists
can park for 72 consecutive hours.
Commercial Parking Permits
Commercial Parking Permits are for use in Commercial
vehicles only, defined in the by-law as follows:
"A motor vehicle having permanently attached thereto
a truck or delivery body and includes an ambulance,
hearse, casket wagon, fire apparatus, police patrol,
motor bus and tractor used for hauling purposes
on the highways."
This definition covers vans, pickup trucks, and station
wagons. Private passenger cars are not eligible.
Any car displaying a Commercial Permit will be ticketed.
Tourist Pass
Visitors to Stratford are eligible to receive
a one day complimentary parking pass which entitles them to park within
a parking lot (except York & underground parking garages) free
of charge and can remain parked in excess of the two hour parking limit. This pass is not valid for on street parking.
To receive your complimentary Tourist Pass, please
visit the Tourism Office at 47 Downie Street,
adjacent to City Hall; or visit the Tourist Information
Booth, during summer hours, located along the
shores of the Avon River, off of York Street.
