Most on street meters within the city centre are limited to a maximum total of
2 hours. Meaning, vehicles must vacate the parking space within 2-hours or
be subject to a fine.
The purpose of on street parking is to allow visitors to the city centre to shop
in stores of their choosing by providing accessible parking spaces. Those visitors
requiring more than two hours parking are encouraged to consider using the longer
term parking meters and parking lots.
Parking meters accept all
Canadian and USA coin denominations, except the penny.
