Boards and Advisory Committees

Stratford residents can make a difference in their community by becoming a volunteer member of a City Advisory Committee or Board. Advisory Committees and Boards provide advice to City Council and contribute to the development of policies, programs and initiatives that enhance our quality of life. The City can benefit from your expertise, enthusiasm and civic pride. If you wish to serve on a City of Stratford Advisory Committee or Board, an application form can be obtained from the City Clerk’s Office. This application should be completed and returned to the City Clerk’s Office. Each year City Council considers applications and makes appointments to Advisory Committees and Boards.

Eligible residents can be appointed to:
  • Accessibility Advisory Committee
  • Board of Park Management
  • City Centre Committee
  • Communities in Bloom Committee
  • Energy and Environment Committee
  • Heritage Stratford Committee
  • Kiwanis Community Centre Advisory Board
  • Pesticide-Free Education Ad-Hoc Committee
  • Sister Cities Advisory Committee
  • Spruce Lodge Non-Profit Housing Corporation
  • Stratford Police Services Board
  • Stratford Public Library Board
To be eligible to serve on an Advisory Committee or Board, applicants must be:
  • 18 years of age or older (except for members of Youth Advisors to Council); and
  • a Canadian citizen; and
  • a resident of Stratford or an eligible elector in Stratford; and
  • meet the appointment eligibility requirements.
