Water Log

You would probably be amazed at the amount of water you actually use. If you’re interested in finding out, try keeping track of your water use over the course of a week. It could help you to pinpoint areas where water savings in your home could be easily achieved.

To use this form, fill in the number of times a day you do the things in the left hand column. The form will calculate the number of litres of water you use per week for each activity based on the average amount, which is filled in for you under the "AVERAGE" column. These figures give typical water consumption figures for various appliances and devices. The appliances and devices in your home may use greater or lesser amounts of water. If you know the actual amount, fill it in. When you are finished entering your weekly use, press the "Calculate" button to see your weekly total in litres and your monthly average billing in cubic meters (one cubic meter = 1000 litres of water.)
