C.A.R.E. Stratford - Common Action for the Restoration of the Environment Stratford
Common Action for the Restoration of the Environment Stratford is a grassroots environmental group committed to thinking
globally and acting locally. C.A.R.E. Stratford is best known for its Environmental Symposia featuring a dynamic group of
keynote speakers including Severn Cullis-Suzuki, Dr. Roberta Bondar, Maude Barlow and Anita Stewart. In 2008, C.A.R.E.
Stratford hosted Earth Day with Stephen Lewis, an event that will long be remembered in Stratford.
Beyond the Symposia, C.A.R.E. Stratford has hosted many workshops and film screenings as well as presented displays at
community events - Stratford Garden Festival, Stratford Home Show and L.I.N.C. Parents Fair to name a few - to reach
more members of our community.
Looking for ways to inform and inspire the community is only part of what
C.A.R.E. Stratford does, its other key goal is to promote active
engagement on environmental matters. River cleanups, Yellow Fish
Road painting, native gardening, are a few of the many ways C.A.R.E.
Stratford brings community members together to restore the environment.
Informed action is the goal of C.A.R.E. Stratford. Dialogue and discussion of concerns with a commitment to finding
strategies to move forward are key for C.A.R.E. Stratford. New members and new ideas are always welcome.
